Members of Bike Walk Wilmette partnered with Go Green Wilmette and the Village of Wilmette to design and install custom bike racks all over town. Funding for the racks and a fix it station with a tire pump and tools was generously provided by the Wilmette Harbor Rotary Club. The Wilmette Public Library and the Wilmette Park Districts chose to use the same design at the library and the new beach house. The consistent look helps brand Wilmette as a great place to bike. Additional bike racks will be installed downtown as part of the Central Street reconstruction project scheduled for 2021.
