Bike Walk Wilmette urges all residents to complete the Village survey about parking in downtown Wilmette. Find survey here.

Bike Walk Wilmette believes that parking in downtown Wilmette is adequate, given the size of our downtown and community. No new parking is needed. We hope that the Village will consider working with Metra, Chase and Wintrust banks, and churches to open their parking lots, especially during busy evening restaurant hours.

We have also observed that more and more people are walking or biking when visiting downtown, reducing the need for parking. We would like to see the Village encourage this trend as a way to make our community healthier and more environmentally sustainable.
