Please Help Make the First Ever Bike Bus in Wilmette a Success! Volunteers and Participants Needed !
Bike Walk Wilmette is helping to organize a Bike Bus to Highcrest (see flyer below) on Wednesday, May 13. Students will meet at Maple Park and ride together to Highcrest in a supervised group, supported by adult Safety Marshals.
The goal is to help students practice safe biking habits, reduce car line congestion, and build momentum around biking to school. This is parent-led and parent-staffed. All Highcrest students to are invited to ride with us. We need additional adult volunteers to guide the “bus” safely through Wilmette.
Details for the first ride:
Wednesday, May 13
Meet: 7:50 AM
Depart: 8:00 AM
Arrive at Highcrest: around 8:20 AM
Meeting Point: Southwest corner of Maple Park, 398 Maple Ave
Helmets required

We are planning additional Wednesday bike bus events on May 20, May 27, and June 3.
